Pearl Harbor

Take a stroll through history at Pearl Harbor, the site where hundreds of Japanese planes attacked the US Pacific Fleet on Dec.7 1941, leading the USA into World War II.
Your tour includes a 23 minute documentary film about the history of Pearl Harbor and the events of that fateful December day. Then you will be taken via shuttle boat to the actual resting site of USS Arizona, where you will board the Memorial and have time to visit and reflect at this historically important site.

Waimea Falls

This is the place to meet Nature, Hawaiian style! Take a stroll along a paved jungle path, through 150 acres of world class botanical gardens studded with endangered Hawaiian plants, exotic collections of plants from around the world, rare native birds, and ancient Hawaiian archeological sites.

This 3/4 of a mile path leads to a gorgeous 45’ waterfall surrounded by tropical foliage, where you can take a dip in the pool beneath the falls (time and conditions permitting) or just sit and take in the stunning spectacle.

For over 700 years this sacred valley was home to Hawaiian high priests – Waimea meaning “Valley of the Priests”. Ancient agricultural terraces and shrine sites have been identified here, and examples of ancient architecture have been reconstructed. Cultural demonstrations can be found through out the property, along with wandering peacocks.

Polynesian Cultural Center

There is also a “canoe pageant” which showcases each culture as it passes by on the canal, as well as an IMAX movie to enjoy.
